It was lovely to see so many people from the Community come for dinner in school, as part of our WW1 Centenary commemorative celebrations. All classes have been learning about life in WW1 and what the poppy represents today. Each pupil also made a poppy to go onto our poppy cascade which will be displayed in church this Sunday. Our school cook was kept very busy with so many dinners to make! But everybody said how delicious her dinner was. Not an empty plate in sight! School Council were busy too, serving the meals, providing refreshments and chatting to our vistiors.
Mr Evans, our brass teacher, played the Last Post and the junior pupils sang A Song of Remembrance. A lovely day.
